If you are implying that you are choosing a bov by the way it sounds, your doing it wrong. Speaking of sound, the type s, rs, whatever and hks bovs sound retarded.

Just get a tial man. They are proven to hold boost great. The new tial QR can be recirculated as well.

I have always said, the good bovs dont make some crazy sound, sometimes, you barely hear it haha.

Sounds like flutter dump. My question is, who long do you want your turbo to last?

Every turbocharged car flutters(even from factory) aka surges theres no remedy for this the turbo will last just as much as the car, also depends how often you change your oil clean the air filter and let it idle before driving and after shutting it down

I think the tial Q (or QR if you recirc.) sound AND perform among the best. You want a "good" sounding bov, i'd listen to tial videos. Whatever you do DON"T get the HKS.. please.
