Since yesterday.....

My water indicator has suddenly decided to hit the high area. After an average 15 minute ride on the highway the oil temp decides to go up to about 92 C. The temperature outside right now is 61 F so it can't be that at all. I turned up the heater to keep the water temps low at medium for the time being.


Checked the under the intercooler and oil cap. No cloudiness there so... check...


Also strange white spots(coolant?) are on the valve cover and a little bit on the engine block. (My evo is getting happy? jk)


Any ideas guys? Will probably take my car on Saturday to a proper mechanic... and drive menially in the mean time.

 

Did you check your coolant and oil level? Your oil temp will go up if your engine is running hotter obviously. I'd focus on the high water temp.
