Evo X GSR or Evo X MR for DD

I am looking to buy a 2010+ Evo X, but having a hard time deciding between the GSR or the MR.

Thanks for your input!

I just had my first kid with my wife and I was looking at a new DD. I ended up with the Ralliart which has a Twin-Clutch Box like the MR. For a DD, getting stuck in traffic...and all other kinds of driving situations..... it's nice. Was little odd at first but now I love it. It defiantly doesn't feel like a full blown automatic at all so it has a ncie feel to it. I usually just pop it into sport and shift away (Don't really use the paddles that much) I really want to see what happens with the XI and upgrade to that IF it comes out.

My suggestion would be to test drive an MR or Ralliart and see how you like it. Besides looks like you have a nice track car already. If you really want something with an automatic like transmission for DDing.. This might be a good buy for u.

I guess my first question qould be to ask (judging by the pictures) where do you live? if you have a bunch of traffic to and from wherever you are going it does help to have the auto, if not then (this is just my preferences for ANY car) i'd stick with the manual

I live near Raleigh, North Carolina. The traffic isn't too bad. I've driven the Ralliarts and I didn't like them at first, but after driving the outlander for the past 2 years, I've grown to like them.

Then that really just depends on which ever you like better. I've always preffered a standard before a manual but i do agree sometimes i wish i had a auto (but not very often lol).

Based on your situation it seems the MR would be the better choice, but it really comes down to persoanlly preference.

I think that I am leaning towards an MR myself. Especially since it already sucks trying to take 2 wiener dogs int he car in a manual, its going to suck when there are 2 of those and 2 kids in the near future!

Good choice. MR hads down for DD that arent going past bolt on. If monies not the issue not getting a MR is a big mistake.

Btw your 3kgt is probably one of the nicest 3kgt's i've ever seen. Seriously looks like it just rolled out the factory and then got a vastly better paint job and a huge tune. So envious right now and im not even a huge 3kgt fan.

Interestingly enough, the 3kgt has factory paint on it... except for the hood. The bumper came pre-painted from Mitsubishi and matched the rest of the car perfectly!

I didn't see your message about labor day weekend, but I'll pm you about meeting up later .
