hoping i can fit in an evo

Hey all im new to the evo world and id like to see if i can get in one literally! lol

im 6'8 so idk if i can fit in one. have gotten reports of yes i can and no i cant. evo 8,9,x doesnt matter.

coming from a mk6 gti i had good amount of room to play with but not a great platform to make power.

even if i cant fit in one, still like these cars alot!

good to meet you all

Are you tall in the legs or the torso? either way I'm sure you can 'fit', might not be as comfortable as a shorter person. However as sports cars go, because the evo is based off an economy car its a great deal more spacious than say a corvette or honda s2000.

Leg room should be ok, (maybe not for the person sitting behind you) and if you need a bit more head room you can always get a set of lowering brackets for the seat that drop it down about an inch.

There are also some seat brackets made by a member here that drops the seat I am thinking 1" if not more.that should get you the head room you need.

I would find someone local to you on the forum with an 8/9 or X and give it a try if they would be down. I'm sure we'll make every excuse we can to get you to buy an Evo.

I'm 6'4" with a long torso, and I fit fine when I had my X. My helmet would touch a little in Auto-x, but that was because I sat the seat forward more. I also had to move the seat forward an inch to get good pedal feel. I think you will be fine in an X but can't speak for the VIII/IX.

Evos have a ton of head room(designed to have roll cages and driven by people with helmets on). My Evo 9 has more headroom then my new X5. You will have to find one at a dealer and sit in it to get the feel after the seat is adjusted to your driving position to know for sure...theres more than just the headroom(getting in/out, view, legroom, etc.)

If long legs is the issue... remove the front seat and back seat it up lol... All jks aside, im more than possitive it shouldnt be too much of an issue, best bet would be to test it out, possibly make a trip to a dealer
