selling the m3, hopping into an 8 or 9

Hey guys, my name's Brent and I'm selling my e46 m3 and hoping to buy a well taken care of Evo 8 or 9 in the new few weeks. The m3 was fun but maintenance and mods are pretty expensive. This should be a nice change of pace in the mod department! Anyways, just introducing myself and hope to see a few of you in the future!

Looks nice, I also went from my e46 m3 to my evo. The M3 was a great car, but I absolutely love my evo, I wouldn't look back.

EVO 8 or 9

Brent,

Welcome, I am also a new member of this forum, despite having owned 4 different EVO's to date. You made a wise decision to switch from the M3.
I might have exactly what your looking for in my garage.

Paul

This is actually funny, since at some point I plan on replacing my track evo with an M3.

N/A and RWD

I guess I'm over just raw power.

Either way, the evo is a great car and might be more suited for your needs.

Thanks guys! I'm excited to see what the AWD/boost side of things are like. Paul, you have something for sale?

Golgo, I love the M3 still but just looking to get into something cheaper in the maint. and mod department. I can't wait to purchase one. First I have to sell the M3, but shouldn't be a problem here in the midwest... considering the only ones you can find are black or silver and this one has a lot of tasteful (IMO) mods with okay mileage (80k). There's a guy on here with a wicked white built Evo 8 MR that I'm interested in from Chicago. You guys know which one I'm talking about?

You looking for an M3? I have one for sale. Haven't put it up yet on forums or craigslist. After I get tired of the harshness of raw power of the Evo, I'll probably stay turbo but try out the 135/335 route. I'm getting closer and closer to pulling the trigger on an Evo.

That car is very nice. The new pics you put up show that it IS a clean car for being 7 years old. The 3000 miles on the build and aftermarket parts (and only 60k on the body) make it very appealing. I'm looking for a 500 awhp and I could do just that with yours. When it comes to the E85, do you have to be completely out of the 93 to run the E85 map? and as for the transmission, is it a built 5 or 6 speed, or stock 5 or 6 speed? One last question, at what rpm does full boost come on?
