How exactly do you install a catch can? A catch can has an inlet and an outlet. My car already has a breather filter. Does the breather filter attach to the outlet nipple of the catch can then route the tubing from the crankcase to the catch can inlet? I don't think I would want to reroute the outlet to the intake.

Rerouting a catch can to your intake is the whole point of the catch can. If you dont want that air going back to the intake, you might as well put a tube from the crank case so it drips down to the ground
