Evo 8 or x?

so right now i have a 2011 gts and this thing is a turd it cant even move out of its own way have rrm header, catless dp, 3" into a GReddy rs, Injen intake, 4g69tb, ad its gutted for autox

now i owe about 9k left on my car so i was wondering if i should pay it off and pick up an evo8 as a project and keep my slowmobile for a dd, or if i should save up what i would use to pay my car off trade it in and get a new evo x? figure with the $ i would get from the trade in plus what im saving up the downpayment would be around 14-16k and if i could get it for around 29kOTD at 3.9%apr which is my current my payments would be low 300 i pay $244 for my car now which car responds better to mods? i would be perfectly happy with a 400awhp street car

If I wasn't obsessed with the cleanliness/condition of my evo, I would very much consider getting a SSS equipped GSR, and push it to about 400whp. They are good for doing the whole double-duty daily/fun thing.

Financially, having one car makes more sense, but to me, dailying my fun car makes it less enjoyable on the weekend or during event's. But do you really want an expensive/insured car sittting around not being driven?

In the end, you are the only one who knows what you want.
