2003 Evo starting issue

Today, damp rainy day, I started the car and all was as should be. While sitting in the driveway letting it warm up a bit, the rpm's starting dropping and almost seemed to sputter, then just stalled out. When I turned the car back over it started right up no problem but SES light came on and then did the same thing. I let it sit for a few minutes then attempted to start again. Car started right up no problem, but the SES light was still on. I drove it to work, being easy on it, and had no problems at all. Had power, didn't sputter or any other wierd rpm issues. Could this be the coils, plugs/wires or am I possibly looking at MAF problems. The only other problem I have had with the car is while driving home from a trip, about 3 hrs away, the car seemed to missfire a couple times and once the rpm gauge seemed to go haywire, bouncing up and down. Still the car drove home with full power and no driveability issues.

Any advice would be much appreciated, Thanks.

*total noob guess*

Could it be the same issue people had with the corroded wiring harness?
I remember seeing it years back where the horn and wipers went off along with some other electrical issues.

You might check it. I believe the connection I am talking about would be behind a panel by your left shin if your sittting in the car. I am sure someone knows what I am refering too and could be a better help.

Thanks for the reply. I stopped at Autozone and had them run the diagnostic on it. Only code showing is for the front o2 sensor. I will post back with any other findings.
