Evo IX MR

I just recently got out of the Army in June, I did 5 years. I was down in texas for my whole career and could never find the car I wanted. Either the dealer was sketchy or the car was beat to hell. Anyway I came back home to NY and a figured I'd retire my tahoe while I could still get some money out of her. I got a 06 Evo IX MR and am in love. It's my first turbo'd whip but this site has already got me in the loop and luckily I live right near STM. I went to my first shootout this summer for the 20th annual and pretty much decided I needed an evo so here I am! Cant wait till next years

Welcome!! Looks like the Special Edition with the red-stitched recaros. The car looks great! Have any specs on her? Mileage, mods, etc?

it does have the red stitched ricaros. I got her with 49k, bone stock. It was only one owner, a female. luckily she garaged it too. Im ganna daily this through the winter which ive already gotten tons of negativity about but I mean I bought this car to drive it so w/e. I know what I need to do to take care of it!

My first mods so far are the stubby antenna and shifter bushings, but as for bolt ons im thinking my first step is going to be an aluminum exhaust. I was ganna e85 swap but I think ill just wait till the end of winter, she'll be ready to tune by then anyway.

Wait, you live in Rochester and you think you can take care of the salt? Like for real? Don't me me wrong; I, personally, don't care what you do with your car. It's just that fighting salt is a losing proposition.

I used to live in Toronto Canada and I died a little inside when I have to flog through the salty slushies with a nice car. I ended up with a lot of POS cars. :\
