No. For a used, abused, high mileage with some dings here and there I'd still say your looking at closer to 13K.

For one thats actually worth something, and one you'd want to buy? 17+

Agreed with top two posts. I got my 2003 Evo VIII with 54,000 miles, clean interior/exterior with a few cosmetics here and there for $17,000. I could only imagine how it would look if you actually purchased an evo for 9,000. I would wait another year of putting in hard work to save up for a nice looking evo. Trust me its worth the wait

Good luck, and patience is the key

If you break the bank to buy a $9k Evo then you won't have the money to fix all the problems. Then if something breaks you have nothing but a broken car you can't afford to fix.

If your going to find something for that cheap its most likely going to be a salvage title, or need work. Im sure there are deals out there like that though but I wouldn't get your hopes up if your looking to find one for that cheap in good condition.

Yeah it could be. Before i got the 2003 i wanted to get a 2008 Evo, and the price was around 24,000 with like 5X,XXX miles basically almost the price you would pay for a 2006 Evo 9 with around 30,000 miles. So yeah it could be just about right, but probably with high miles.

why not import an evo 4? I imported mine for 8.5k and it has 103,000kms on it. super clean, runs perfect and has had a lot of major maintenance done to it in Japan before I bought it.

No. Especially not after all the paperwork, taxes, etc to bring it here from the US. And forget about finding one already imported and in runnign condition for that amount.
