That raises an interesting question, as to what we all do to fund our vehicular addiction... I cut hair, a an overpriced salon in Philadelphia's main line burbs. Definitely helps though to pay cash for everything. And as far as junkies go, your avg dope habit is usually 5 or 6 bags a day which would be 60 bucks a day, many habits exceed 300$ a day my buddy Dave was coppin 4 bundles a day about 500 beans. So, its one rush vs another. A lot harder to justify Robbin someone for inter cooler piping though.

Schooling and career definitely come first. I got my BS and MS in civil engineering from Stanford a few years ago and the Evo was sort of my present to myself. Since then it's been a downward spiral lol. Thankfully I have a job that pays enough to fuel the addiction.

Car has had about 17k paid off, spent 10 ish k on parts, 14k for my recent build, so that comes out to be 41k? Mind you car still has about 19k left and needs a turbo kit, FMIC, and bov and a new tune after that.

Yea, I believe school first is a good idea. But I'll stay on topic.

Lol dang they better be good. I'm sure they are. What kind and why you spending so much?!? If good coil overs really improve the handling of the X THAT much, I can't imagine how insane it would handle. I feel like this thing handles so good and all I have is Swift Sports and a Hotchkis RSB

I actually have a IX that's a dedicated race car. The shocks are JRZ RS Pros.

Don't tell my wife...

Edit: I also spend $2,000 a year on my track budget (yes, it's a small budget), which I have been doing since 2009.

I'm right with you, about 10k into it and around $1500-$2000 a year in track expences not including maintenance like tires brakes transfer cases etc

Just noticed dudes name is rocky raccoon...
I've heard you can partake in races like track day events and they are relatively inexpensive. About to drop another 2k on clutch and acd map... And now seriously thinking of buying a motor and building it. Anyone know what the cost would be around if I did this myself including used block machining and parts. I'm thinking at least 8k. I'm leaning towards a 2.2 for the extra tq. But still have the ability to throw on a bigger turbo and make significant power at 9+k if I choose.
