Can ne1 please answer my question. I'm tryin to find out if i can turn my FWD ES into an AWD ES I would love it if i can do dat. Cuz then i wouldnt have to buy an EVO8. Not that i wouldnt mind having one. Its still pretty tight to have an ES with AWD. So please some1 help me in my quest.

if you can get a master welder, mechanic, fabricator, and import the drivetrain from a lancer GSR(non-evo), then MAYBE....

run a search... if it were easy to do, someone would have one already.

 

You can turn the ES into anything you want if you got enuff $$$$ After you make the ES AWD, what next.....brakes.....suspension...turbocharging.... .?

 

Yes....if you have enough money. Any qualified shop could do it IF they got enough money to do it.

 

damn dat sucks, I knew money was a big factor. But damn gettin a lancer GSR sounds crazy. I couldnt use a GSX or an EVO8?

 

getting the GSR drivetrain would just make it easier. converting the GSX or Evo drivetrain to work with our engines would just be adding the headaches on.

 

and even if u put in the AWD drivetrain, that awesome 120hp wouldn't be much fun

 

So goin wit da GSR would be easier huh. Damn dat sucks. I should jus save for dat damn evo. N yea 120 is way faassstttt for my AWD. I think all my decals will make me go faster.Hahaha i aint dumb. Jus that would be the 1st big mod i would of done to my car. But now my dreams are shattered . O well EVO is still a kick *** car . Thanks for da help.

I'm not trying to be a d*ck, but this could have been searched. It seems people ask it about once every 6 months. Here's the jist of the other threads:

You can do just about anything with enough $$$, but you would spend a lot less to just buy a brand new Evo, and you'd have more hp anyway.

 

Im going to make my lancer AWD... im sick of doing smokey burnouts by accidentally letting the clutch out too fast
