Find some local Evos and ask for a ride or two.
That is very true.

I had my buddy's evo 7 for a week and I enjoyed every single bit of it. Im hoping the 9 is alot better than what I experienced.

Mine is DD im around 370AWHP that was my last dyno, ive done a few things since then. I run a HKS extreme exhaust and its pretty loud, the interior Drone is bad. my 2ss 2010 camaro was even quitier with a borla system on it lol.... Stock Exhaust is much better for noise, i just turn my radio up thou, but if i want to have a conversation in the car it wouldnt be that easy.
I dont have a RS, i have a standard IX its a cross between the RS and the MR so its a 5 speed with automatic locks, windows No sunroof no stock gauges.
IMO, if the price is right get it these cars have alot of mantience but what performece car dosnt? I love my evo its the best car ive ever driven. you wont be sorry!

in terms of tires and noise i have some falkens on i havnt tried other tires yet so i idk.

Again, thank you for your input guys!

Unfortunately, the seller told me someone is paying for the car tomorrow. I can only purchase at the end of the week and worst, Im on the other side of the country. Looks like im gonna have to search all over again. :/

Meh... don't fret. Finding a nice Evo is actually REALLY hard (one of the reasons they're holding value).

In other news. Sell me your EK.

Sorry to hear about the turn of events. But who knows, maybe you'll find a better one soon...

Anyway, I have DD'ed my EvoIX RS for the past 4 years. 72 miles round-trip. Love it. The road noise really isn't bad. If you do a back-to-back drive in a Lexus IS and then the RS...sure, you'll notice the road noise. But otherwise it will be way more tolerable than the EK.

Like another poster mentioned, tire choice will definitely play a role in this.

I currently run E85 and 443whp. With my stealth exhaust from RRE, it is super discreet and quiet...

Good luck!

I bought a WW RS with the intent of DD'ing it, autocrossing it. Like the fact of it being lighter and the fact of LSD FRONT!!! Also, IDK about you but road noise idc about, I just know with those roll up windows I'm hookin that AC back up! Other then that, Its not a Cadillac, I would hope it wouldnt ride like one anyways. I like the aggressive noise and feel of the EVO!

Coming from a guy building a WW RS, which exhaust in your guys opinion on the best exhaust to run in a DD RS? Keep in mind, performance and flow are a big factor, esp with me and that big shnaus on the 2.4.
