New Guy With a Galant!!!
New Guy With a Galant!!!
I'll start by saying that I am a diehard Mitsubishi fan. At the moment I am going to school and can't afford an evo but I am slowly building a 1997 Galant. I haven't started on any engene mods yet because its my dd and don't have time to do anything that may put the car down for over 2-3 days. My main focus for the time being is handling and braking. At this time I have D2 coilovers, an upper strut bar up front, lower tie bar in the rear and a 22mm sway bar in the rear. The car handles really well for what it is. My next project will hopefully be a five lug conversion, with some Evo 9 wheels, some brembos and prothane bushings. I hope to learn a few things while I'm here but for the most part I will be trying to score parts though this site. I am a newbie here but I am well known on a couple Galant forums. I don't plan on aimlessly posting in prder to get my post count up. So watch your PM's if your selling anything.lol

The interior is mostly stock except for a 2g leather wrapped steering wheel and art that I like to do.lol

I'm working on updating the pillars now.
The engine is stock. No frills. It a 2.4 so it looks like a lancer 2.4 with the timing belt on the opposite side.
Here are a few more shots of the car.
When I got it.

A few months in.
Then I put the body parts on.

Then a flow master and the wheels. (Note:the flow master is oval shaped and does not sound like a weedeater.)

There are a lot of little things that have brought the car to where it is today. I blacked out the headlight housings, vr4 spoiler, side skirts, and tail lights, and a lip. It will turn on a dime but its slow when taking off. You would not believe how many kids try to race me each week. I drive it like an old man until I get on a nice curvy road. I have a theory that if I drive it slow they will think its fast.lol
