Hey everyone, for some odd reason it wouldn't let me post in the WTB WTS WTT forum so i am putting this here.

I am looking to buy a Evo 9 GSR with about 10,000 - 70,000 Miles.

I would like it mostly stock, And if it isn't please have the correct paper work and knowledge of what you or your mechanic put into it.

I could have bought an Evo 8 RS today but i didn't because of the no power windows/locks. I'm guessing RS's are strictly for rallying

Welcome.

1. You can't post there because you're too new. But you should be able to PM members about their cars.
2. The RS's are perfectly fine for day to day use, but they are the "race platform" Evos. Focused on lightweight, and better performance, so yes... no power.
3. Good luck finding an Evo!

What are we salesman trying to find you a car? There's man evo's for sale, check the for sale threads and autotrader. If you buy one from here you might get all the info that you require, if you buy one elsewhere, you will get something without proper documentation unless you buy privately. It's just how the game goes. I worked in the car business for many years and know the games and "120 point rigorous inspection" bull**** that the dealers put their vehicles through. **** is a joke. Even carmax is retarded. Was able to sell a car to them with frame damage and they didn't catch a thing.

It's going to be tough to find a 9 GSR considering they weren't sold in the US But good luck finding a regular 9. There are plenty of them out there.

 

? ok, both of my friends have Evo 9's and it isn't an SE (no bbs or red stitched seats etc), and it isn't an MR (no Al roof), and it isn't an RS (has power windows/doors).... so what is it?

 

It's just a 9. There was no GSR designation in the US until the EVO X. The usdm models are:

EVO IX RS
EVO IX SE
EVO IX MR
EVO IX MR SE
