For a decent one and for what I have seen, you're going to be spending a little more then 20k

I would recommend going through a credit union as well. From what I've seen and from personal experience there rates are very good.

Hey guys. Not thread jumping, but does a place you can take a car to that will perform a full diagnostic and chassis/frame check exist in the USA? We have them in Europe and in the Middle East. A lot of people who are in the market for a used vehicle will get with the current owner and take the car to a place that specializes in performing such things. they place sensors all over the car (measures against OEM specs for body correctness), as well as crawl all under the car looking for tell-tale signs of a cut and weld, and after that, they hook up the diagnostics and plug in to talk to the ECU. The results are whatever they are. If the prospective buyer is good to go, the sale is made. If not, the seller eats the cost of the diagnostic.

Don't know any place like this in NY but idk about other states. Over here usually people just take the car to mechanic or bring mechanic with them to get it inspect.

a IX under 50k miles is gunna be a lil more then 20k, and difficult to find.
I to went thru my dredit union to finance all my cars, and it was the best way to go. Lowest rates so you can pay it off quicker
A decent one, is one that hasnt been owned and beaten on. Stock or modded tastfully. No Tcase whine, no leaks, Shouldnt need anything other then maybe some light touch up paint work.
