Any Evo of any kind is rare where I live. I am lucky to see 1 every 2-3 months

I sure hope that I can find a IX with low miles in good shape! I am looking for my first EVO and am excited about finally getting one!

Same with mine. Mine has 23,xxx. I bought it with 21K and hit 22K bringing it home. Mine is garaged most of the time, I plan on keeping it as low as possible. It seems to me people get irritated when they hear it doesn't get driven but that's the difference between having a haggard looking car and a clean, nice looking one that will hold it's value.

Totally agree! I don't drive mine in the snow or if the roads are still covered with sand or road salt. My engine bay still looks showroom condition and shows no sign of any rust or corrosion like cars driven in snow all winter long.

I'm the original owner of my Evo and took it home brand new from the dealership... no accidents ever, and rarely if never abused or beaten on.

Although the mileage is low, I plan to drive it as often as I can and enjoy it, when time allows.

We both have cars that should have a higher resale value if we ever decide to sell!

Exactly!! And living in New England the roads are terrible. The roads are actually pretty clean right now which is good. But I can't tell you how many times I've had to defend why I garage my car. I don't know anyone that drives their "show" car in less than perfect weather. That's what a daily is for. I have the benefit of having two cars and ill use it to my full advantage.

i aggree totally, because i enjoy drinving my 8/9 body style than the 10 body style. i don't know but the 10 inside looks smaller than the 8/9 body style.

I like keeping my low miled Evo Ix In my shop too, i know where its at and im keeping the miles low. Unlike my last car, I beat the hell out of it and put 34k miles on it in one year LOL then sold it back to the dealership and i didnt even take that much of a loss. I rarly See Evos here in the downtown area of chicago maybe 3 or 4 a year. Lots of lancers thou and OZ Rallys.
And yes these cars are rare and to find one thats not beat up and well taken care for, and has had the right mods done to it to make it perfect is hard.

Haha! We have the exact same cars, that's crazy. I am CRAZY when it comes to this car. When I was doing my exhaust all my friends were like, seriously you can eat off the bottom of your car. The engine bay is spotless, inside is vacuumed once a week. I get anxiety just driving it around because people can't drive to save their lives. The second day I had it, I was driving to my house from our garage and some lady pulled out in front of me and I was inches from hitting her. I felt bad for slamming on the brakes so hard haha

Absolutely keeping mine, of course after all the money I've invested into this vehicle. Just yesterday I was in the BK drive through and everyone came rushing to the window asking what kind of car I have. I was like wtf lol it's clearly an Evo so obviously people don't remember these "rare" cars. Minus that their fast and aggressive looking lol

hmmm... shall we all band together and reaalllllly control the market price? lol! I'm at the point of thinking of reverting back to stock just to increase the value. Since I have other cars to drive, it may be worth it.

yup - i made myself sick (literally) covering the coilovers in protectant, even though I'm never gonna drive the car in the snow/salt again. not even the gf is allowed to eat in the car, and i finally bought a DD to keep the mileage off the Evo - that said, I will be trying to autox as often as possible. otherwise, my car is nearly perfect right now and I plan to keep it that way
