Honestly man from reading this thread you could get a much better deal on a lower milage ix or even viii if thsts what you want. I paid 19k for mine 06 SSL IX w. 49k miles almost stock I ran across a few others I liked just decided it wasn't a good idea for one reason or another. Find one that's nearly stock so you can do your own mods and do them right, you'll thank yourself down the road for waiting to pull the trigger. Not only that but I would never ever buy something that someone said this and that were done with no supporting paperwork just my 2 c. Hope this helps sway your decision.
to answer your question: its worth nothing. at least to me. buying a heavily modded car usually means one thing. headache. even if the seller gives you a list of mods you still can't be sure it's everything that's been done to the car. buying stock is always the best option.
I agree with everyone else. I can tell you from first hand experience, I was eager to get my first Evo. Guy said he had this and that done to it, all the bells and whistles, but no supporting paperwork. I still went through with the deal. And as a couple have said, boy did I find out a lot of what was on it, really wasn't. Still to this day, I'm trying to fix her up and get her right. If I were to do it again, I'd go as stock as possible, or make sure it HAS paperwork. Take everyone's advice here.
Lol, of course im going to take everyones advice thats why I signed up here. Thanks everyone for your advice and input im going to keep on looking. Guy has seemed sketchy since the beginning. Doesnt even know what kind of radiator is in it lol. Sounds like he doesnt know ****, bought this car and got jewed on it, and now is trying to recoop his money
Inbox me said link. I've been searching the MPLs CL for like 5 months now trying to find a decently priced Evo haha.. Im from Rochester
First thing that stands out is the "repainted with flakes" I looked at a car with a flake paint job and the issue is on fixing any blemishes. Custom paint is extremly hard to match. If they didn't do a good job on the paint, all the panels made of plastic will crack and look like sheet.
Second off, that engine bay is pretty dirty. Chances are the owner didnt take real good care of the car. I would also be skeptical of a cosworth 2.3. Can he prove what it is? Who built it? How many miles since build etc. You will generally be better off buying a car from a well known evom member who has documented their builds on the site. Also, 20k for a evo over 100k miles is quite spendy in my opinion.
