yeah its cheaper but you dont know what a modded car has gone through, couldve been tracked like crazy or been a garage queen

These cars are reliable but any car anywhere can be vulnerable when the wrong moron has been beating the crap out of them. Pretty simple concept. I've had mine from bone stock and modded it to what it is today and it has honestly never had ONE problem. Theres some luck in there but theres also a great deal of care that goes into keeping a car in one piece that some guys dont care about. Thats why you need to do your research on a used modded car

This is the exact reason I bought mine the way I did. 96k miles, never raced and only an exhaust, ACT 6 puck and intake (that I ended up switching out anyways). That way I know what's done to it is what I did to it

 

Just for information... I paid ~20k for a mint fully stock evo 8 SSL 4 years ago, which had 30,000 miles on it.
