Been a while since I have posted but here is the latest.
I live in Santa Monica. We have a parking spot but I let my wife use it for her car and I park on the street (yuck). I learned quickly to get a parking permit as I got nailed with a $65 fine for not having the pass and have had one since June.
So on labor day this year we were bbqing and just chilling at home. I had to run out to my car to get something and noticed not 1 but 2 tickets on my car. I grabbed em off and looked at em.
1 for parking without a permit and 1 for incorrect display of or no front/rear license plate.
Here is the problem though. My parking permit was clearly hanging in my rear view and well my license plate is still mounted in the factory location under the drivers side headlight. Hell I hadn't even taken the dealer plate frame off the front yet.
So I took a photo of both the plate and the permit hanging and typed up a letter to send in with the tickets showing there was a mistake. Received another letter back that says "photos are not evidence of a violation correction and that the evidence provided (ticket) was enough to prove my guilt"
So the plate fine is 25 or 10 bucks and get a cop to sign it off. Yeah no big deal def not an issue on the money side of things but it's just ****ty to do that to someone when nothing was wrong. So i wrote another letter and was really polite about it and explained everything. No response. Sent the same letter. No response. Then I received another that said I was late in payment and because they have not received my response I was guilty of the violations.
Also was told that no matter what the license plate ticket can not be challenged and the ticket was proof that I had no license plate. Same as the parking permit violation.
So now because I didn't submit anything they basically doubled it all.
Anyone have any experience with this? I am very busy with work and can't really take time to go argue with someone behind a desk that doesn't give a **** in the first place.

Decided to debadge my trunk a while back and then plastidipped a few pieces.
The paint was flaking on my hood vents so they needed to be touched up as it was but decided to do the center scoop as well.
