///M3 guy, new around here.
save the thousand or 2 from buying the 8 for some performance upgrades. With cams/ turbo and a fuel pump/injectors youll be in the Evo 9 whp/ wtq range or over on a dyno, with a tune obviously. But you will be lacking the 9 turbo, with the larger compressor cover and 10.5 hotside... Not a biggie, just a reason to get a better turbo lol

Yes handling I will defiantly miss ;( it was one of the best handling cars I've owned (Audi, Mercedes, VW) but I've always loved evo ever since 03.
And that's true BEKevo that's why you gotta upgrade the turbo to some better. From what I was reading earlier should have saved the post theirs a turbo for 950 I think that could get 420hp with minor mods Idk how??

Seems lately a lot of people are coming from M3's to Evos! Anyways, the links people posted for you are great to start. I would go on google and just type in "cars for sale" and start there. Best thing I can tell you is broaden your search miles wise. When I was looking, I didn't care if I had to fly across country for one. I was getting what I wanted. I happened to buy mine far away, but well worth the trip. As far as mods go, I would just start with the basics, (intake, exhaust, etc). I guess the question we should be asking you is what are your plans with the car. A lot of people will give you different advice based on that one answer.
