And I feel that I want to add something more...

I plan to take the car to the track and the explosive power of this thing just screwes up my driving style! I would like to have something smoother in spooling up and revving, I guess I have little confidence in tunes as I am not familiar with it and a good tune might fix my problem. I am not a feeder-dragster-racer, I like turns. Unfortunately, I live in Houston, but that's another story!

Your MPG doesn't seem too bad, and removing mods won't help it. I get 25+ mpg on the highway with more or less comparable mods.

Before wanting to strip all the mods off, I would suggest maybe just focusing on your 2 other gripes: rough idle and noise. Depending on just how aggressive those Kelfords are, a tuner may be able to change the tune a bit to smoothen out the idle. After that, changing out the o2 dump and adding another silencer should help with the noise.

Then you can just have the tune adjusted to decrease the power to where you'd like it, and if later on down the road you decide you'd like to be back where you were before, you just get it retuned for more power.

take you car, fill it up,reset your trip odo, drive til you feel like you should fill it back up. make note of how much goes in... look at the trip odo and divide the miles by the amount of fuel... it will tell you your average MPG... i used to average 360 to a tank topped off til the light came on...

also mods greatly effect fuel economy especially cams... idk who said that but youre nuts.

you have to remember that you fuel gauge reads full for like 2 gallons and the light comes on 2/3 gallons from empty. so measuring the amount going in versus the miles driven is the only way to get a decent estimate.

Argh now the car is running rough, cannot go above 5psi and have to drive with an egg under the gas pedal and it would still run rough...

Taking it to the shop today

I'm not sure what you mean by egg under the pedal... But i think you mean it stumbles and stalls unless you keep tapping the throttle... If so clean your maf... A dirty maf will lead to everything you have mentioned

Unplug it after the car has sat for 10-20 minutes... Take it off the pipe... Spray cleaner thru it. Give it 10 minutes to dry and try the car again... Also if you disconnect it and the car starts to run better its a decent indicator its dirty or bad... But not a definite test.

Yes, it stumbles. I disconnected the plug that in the pic below is on the right, between the white reservoir and the fuse box. Is that the same thing?
I left it disconnected all night but did not work..

Did you take the MAF off and clean it? Or just unplug it?

Also I agree. Have it tuned to smooth out the CAMs and replace the 02 dump and maybe run lower boost. No need to take anything off (other than 02 housing).

Did not clean it, only unplugged it.
I found it weird that from one day to another I am not able to go WOT anymore. If something gets dirty doesn't the engine run worse day after day?

EvoM community kicks ***, or maybe I am really ignorant about the Evo. Thank you all for the inputs

The MAF is the black square thing right behind the air filter..

I would unplug it, go to Autozone or whoever and buy MAF cleaner.. clean it up and see if that solves the problem..

If you do have a loose inter cooler pipe change the worm gear clamps out with T-bolt clamps so you hopefully won't have to mess with them again. When I was running stock piping I got the whole set from http://www.siliconeintakes.com/produ...e4a0ec3695bbc1
Good luck

Guess what!?
I had a spark plug soaked in water! It rained pretty hard in the past 2 days here in Houston but...really? Is that something common??

My car has the coils cover and everything, it seems weird to me...

No, it does not overheat so I do not think it's the head gasket, plus it was only one sparkplug, the one right under the hood grill.

That's very weird... never had that happen to me even when washing the car without the spark plug cover on.
