Hello, I am new here. I have an idea for a project I'd like to make happen at some point in time.

Here is my background:
I am 18 and currently work as a general tech in a general repair shop. I have very knowledgable mentors and am getting familiar with the basics of mechanics. I am getting into metal fabrication(MIG welding, general handling of steel,) have experience in software engineering, and have raced motorcycles for a good portion of my life. I love cars, I love speed, I love art, and I just love envisioning/ creating things.

My goal:
Take my all time favorite car(196x Volkswagen Squareback,) and turn it into a fully custom, AWD, potentially Evo powered vehicle with immense power and beautiful sophistication. I know it is expensive, don;t tell me. I am by no means wealthy, but I believe in manifestation, and that I can truly achieve what I envision. This is a dream of mine.

I want to take a VW Squareback, and essentially fabricate a custom chassis around an entire Evo drivetrain/ suspension set up to accomodate Front Engine, AWD propagation of power. On top of that, I want the car to be beautiful, simple, and unique. I want to build it entirely for my enjoyment of art, driveability, and accomplishment. Not to mention, to me, this would be the sickest thing ever. I would like to shoot for 500 - 700 horsepower. The dreamy haze of the 1000 hp world is fun, but K.I.S.S. I would like to be able to drive this on the street.

Anyway, I am searching for information, advice, etc, on different models of Evo and their pros/cons for something like this. Also, pricing on acquiring totaled cars with functioning suspension and drivetrain.

I'm just a human being that loves cars. I love everything about them. they are beautiful, intricate, pieces of art. I love everything about them. I want to race cars some day. This is my dream. Not necessarily on the street or anything, but just in general, go fast. I know this is an EVO specific site, but please humor me as this is my first reach out to an online community. I'm looking for other knowledgable people to share with. Also maybe a race car
