I am hoping to buy an 06 evo 9 mr soon, there is a post on craigs list in seattle that they are selling a 06 evo 9 mr, but its a 03-05 style bumper. And when I talked to the person he claimed he is the orginal owner and claimed that the car is an 06 and that the bumper came that way from the factory. I tried searching with now luck. So what I am trying to ask is, could you get that custom ordering from the dealer that way or is they guy full of bull. I like the car from what I have seen but I don't want to buy something that is claimed to be something its not. Thanks for your time, Nate.

lol no way that came from the factory looking like that. Those are 8 headlights, 8 bumper, and 8 engine - no MIVEC. I love the 8, that's what I drive, but if you want a 9 then this isn't for you.

rev speaks the truth... he is definitely mistaken about the year... maybe he bought it in 06 with 0 miles but he doesn't have an evo 9 since it doesn't have the dimple on the intake i would say its not even 05... ask for the vin... the 10th digit doesnt lie

 

Also ask for an interior pic of the center console and shift knob. I wanna see if its even a 6 speed

 

It's an 05 MR. Owner just needs to look at his title. Graphite Gray wasn't available on any Evo 8 except the MR, so to think it's not an 05 or not an MR, well... you're wrong.

It would of been cool with the bumper being the 03-05 style but I am looking for a true 06 MR. Person said more pictures later so I was like okay. But if I saw the seats I could tell what year it was better.
