I just bought a '08 phantom black Evo X GSR a few weeks ago. Just wanted to introduce myself on here. I've been doing a lot of reading on here to make sure I've covered all my bases. I've already changed out the small black fuel pump relay, the MFI relay, and the other 3 that need to be changed out to the new relays. There's a lot of good info on here! My car is pretty much stock. It just has eibach springs, hard upper and lower intercooler pipes, generic short ram intake with heat shield, and muffler delete. stock cat back is just Y-ed off after the rear axle. sounds pretty kick *** though! pretty sure it's just on stock tune. but glad to finally have an Evo! I had a 2G GST with an Evo3 big 16G back in the day, which was pretty fun except the fwd part! My last car was a mazdaspeed 6, which my wife is driving now. Our garage now consists of 2 turbo awd beasts! It's fully bolted stage 2 running 20 lbs. It will keep up with my Evo now, but not for long! Getting AP soon so I can flash a stage 1 map. I have an AP on the speed6 and I've been tweaking OTS maps on it for 2 years now so it won't take me long to get used to tuning the Evo. Looking forward to modding this car, it is definitely the best car I've ever owned. Well, hello to everybody! gotta get back to reading more about this car...

Welcome! I had a speed 6 also woth bolt ons and 30r tuned by dj from perm. It was a fun car but not on the same level as the evo.

 

thanks! and I totally agree with you, the Evo is on a WHOLE different level. I've never driven a car that handles like this thing, it's amazing! and dj is a bad ***. him and perm tuning are really pushing that platform. thanks to him and superskaterxes people are starting to make real power with the MZR motor. so glad to have an Evo now though, its definitely the REAL turbo awd beast...
