hey everone i hear if im going to make big power that i need a 5 speed tranny that my 6speed garbage any inputs the car is making 480WHP 340TQ now shooting for 600s lmk thanks

 

how much torque are you making ?

When you get to 400tq+ is when the tranny will be nearing its limit. It's the 4th gear that will go. People have installed oil coolers to help prevent failure. They are breaking because the 4th hear is thinner and there is less oil in it compared to the 5 speed

ya you need a 5 speed the 6 speed is so hit and miss some hold up to some abuse on a modded car some don't, mine blew up at 70,000 miles daily never launched and stock power and it was treated so gentle, but the 5 speed is so much better
