What would you do with $2k?

I want to put about $2k right now into my stock 08' MR. What would you guys suggest would be the best bang for the buck value for this amount?

Was thinking:

ETS V2 CBE
ETS Test Pipe
Cosworth High Flow Drop-in Filter
AMS UICP
Find a used Cobb AP + Tune

Should put me right at 2k after the tune

Goal is to get over 350HP but I'm not sure whats realistic with what I've listed.

Honestly I think the best way to spend that $ is to go to a driving school (racing, rally, HPDE etc). Someone is always going to have a faster car. Driving skills you can bring to any car you drive. After that I'd say the stickiest tires you can afford. Those to me are the best bang for the $. The problem with more power is that it'll never be enough. That being said, if you still chose power upgrades make sure you can use them when you want to make more power (meaning the drop-in filter will be a waste of $ long term)

ETS front mount with upper and lower piping. ETS intake. ETS V2 exhaust. I stretched you past 2k by a little I think.

With $2,000, I would go with:

1. GSC S2 cams ($550)
2. 3-port EBC ($150)
3. LICP ($200)
4. 255lph fuel pump ($100)
5. TBE ($500)
6. O2 dump ($250)
7. TSCOMP Tune ($200)

I think this is a good mod path for the money...you could even drop the AP if you wanted, tune open source, and get a real intake.

Honestly I would talk to whatever shop you're going to get the tune from and see what they say. They'll probably not recommend cams, new turbo, or new FMIC as first mods...

I totally agree. Of course, we all want more horsepower, but if you're looking for the most bang for the buck in terms of pure driving enjoyment, I think there's no better investment than in learning how to drive at speed through corners and bends, which is, after all, what Evos are built for and excel at.

Looks like a great mod list to me! We may be able to save you some on the upper pipe as well. We also have a V2 AP Cobb on the shelf that we could make you a screaming deal on If interested let me know!
