sport mode

This is probably a stupid question, but would it put any more stress on the car or hurt anything to daily drive my X MR in sport automatic mode? Didnt know if city driving with all the starting and stopping along with the higher RPM would hurt anything.

I'm not a mechanic or a professional driver but I've owned my MR for 3 years now. Had a transmission replaced under warranty. From what I've read...it's a debated topic because sport mode changes the shifting and my understanding is that the clutch packs when "slipping" cause alot of damage and sport mode is more aggressive and doesn't allow slipping. Idk how much you can take that to the bank but I drive in sport manual daily.
