EVO X newbie- issues to watch for ?
-Dont slip the clutch they wear out pretty quick
-dont launch the evo unless you know what your doing (you will either break something or toast your clutch in most cases).
-If its a 2014 be very careful not to over rev/miss a shift at high rpm because If you over rev past around 7200-7300rpm the ECU flips a hidden code that cant be erased and "may" be used against you to deny a warranty claim on the engine or drivetrain.
-The shifter can be pretty notchy and it takes getting use to, it has locked me out of 3rd gear a couple times until i learned how to shift it precisely/break it in.
-Goes without saying, drive it nicely during break in period of 500-1000 miles, i wouldn't let the revs over 5k during break in period but its been debated and some may tell you its no problem i just like to stay on the side of caution over unnecessary risk.
-Mitsu is very tight on their warranties and pretty much void it for any reason they can, so if you plan on modding the car make sure your either prepared to not have a warranty cover anything that might happen or save your stock parts just in case for re-installation on a warranty claim.
Cant think of anything else at the moment.

But it would be cool to have a High Score board on hand for my RPM achievements
To hard code a P0219, you have to rev a 4B11 beyond 8043rpm.
You will develop a squeak in the front right side of your dash, passenger side. Sooner, rather than later
It's a pretty easy fix- Here's the link - bookmark it! http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/sho...=185378&page=5

Unless it's a catback only. That's okay, I've taken some logs on the stock map using my Cobb Accessport to check. Everything checked out, and my only mod was a Cobb CBE.
LOL "Ring lands."
I'm pretty new to this too, but a friend told me to watch out for spark plug issues. Said that if they fail pretty badly, engine damage could occur?

If you are datalogging with cobb ap then you are not using mitsubishi stock map. The only way to datalog with ap is if you flashed a cobb ap map, no other way around. If u flashed a cobb map then its call tuned.not stock anymore. But yes catback exhaust are fine with stock map just no test pipe and hfc.
