Lurked forever, newbie post.

Hey guys. I've been a long time lurker of the site but decided that as I began to use it more frequently I may as well start posting.

My name is Cody and I live up in Canada. I used to drive a 2005 VIII MR, but about two weeks ago I sold it and picked up a 1999 Evo VI GSR and I must say I love the car much more than the 8. I figure there won't be so much information on the new car on here, but I'll offer any advice to everyone I can.
Here is a picture of the new car right after I had it detailed.

what do you like more about it, is it more mechanical. Are the torque split on these? 60/40
what minor problems have you seen from VI? seals? electrical?etc.?

The only Mitsus that I know of that ever came with anything other than a 50/50 (spider-type) center diff were some 3000GT VR4s, which were 45/55, and certain Galant VR4s, which was something extreme, such as 30/70. Evos have always been 50/50.

Regardless of the above, the thread-starter's car is beautiful.

What I like more is that the car is just as fast, it is more nimble and handles better in my opinion, the AYC is kind of cool, and I'm up a pretty significant amount of money after dumping the 8 for the 6.

The torque is 50/50 I believe

As far as minor problems I haven't done too much reading into it. Only things I know for the time being are that the transfer case isn't all that strong, and once the AYC pump goes, it is better to just pull the fuse out.

Thanks for the welcome guys!

I'm quite sure that a VI has a 50/50 center (since it's an Evo). It's the rest that I'm not sure about. I think you have plain AYC in the rear (i.e., AYC with a spider-type, not planetary) and a VCU on the center. My limited knowledge of VIs says that they had AYC but not ACD. Is that correct?

Correct, it does not have ACD but does the the AYC.
