My name is Jesse I'm from Montana and I've been in love with all imports since well when that one movie came out , yeah that one. Well in 2003 I bought an Evo 8, and it was love at first startup. the car was vandalized and I fixed what I could being a young evo owner then a majority of my funds went to actually paying for the car haha.

Well due to career changes and multistate moves the car fell Into disarray. my baby momma didn't have a car so I left it home. And it was not cared for like I hoped. It broke down eventually and I parked it at my dads

Well about 4 years later I finally moved home and I am just getting into fixing her up. Pulled the motor/trans, found bad rust in the cylinders so I'm doing a .40 overbore. Still on the fence about whether to stroke it or not. looked at the MAP kits both 2.0 & 2.3, but I am feeling a bit budgetminded. Shooting for around 400whp upper goal wit my build, once I get the supporting Mods.

I went over to the darkside for a while with a 2012 civic Si with the 2.4 K motor. Did full bolt on and a friend and myself tuned it to 220whp N/A, it was a fun car until it was rear ended while my ex wife was driving it.

Now I'm Back and I'm Bad! Finally able to spend some money on my baby and make up for lost times.

I've already learned so much searching the forums and Lurking, finally ready to make myself known.

you divorced your wife and married an Evo?

 

I divorced a crazy woman and reunited with my Evo yes lol.

I will look Into doing a build Thread.

 

Good luck man. Try 0.20" over bore first and see if that will clean it up.
