I have been on EvoM for about a year but have never introduced myself yet. I'm bored at work and figured it was a good time to do so. My name is Jimmy, I'm 30 years old, live in Ohio and work as a Correctional Officer in a prison so basically I babysit "grown men" for a living. I have owned 11 turbo DSM's over the years and always wanted an Evo but when I was young and dumb I screwed up my credit. I decided to do whatever it took to get my credit back up so I could get an Evo. it took me roughly 5 years but I did it. I searched for a decent deal on an evo for about 6 months. I had a certain budget to stay within because my fiance and I have 4 kids we gotta take care of. I finally found one it was Tarmac Black 2005 Evo VIII with the SSL package. It had 142,000 miles but I'm no the type of person that cares about mileage. it was my buddy's personal car he daily drove for 2 years and was only selling it because he bought a GTR. The Evo was all stock besides a crappy quiet HKS HiPower cat back and a K&N Typhoon intake. its not the cleanest Evo but I worked hard to get it and its mine and I'm proud of it. My buddy got the car from Texas so it has paint fading in a couple small spots and calipers are faded to pink. I got caught in a hail storm shortly after I got the car too so she has a few hail dings here and there. But shes MINE and she makes ME happy and that's all that matters. she has been sitting in the garage for 1 year and 7 months now because she broke. The piston ring on cylinder 3 gave out, chipped the piston and chewed up the cylinder wall. Seems like I just can't catch a break. Every time I get the cash saved up to get her fixed some other more important priority pops up out of nowhere that the money needs spent on. Currently I have my DD beater work car up for sale to get the money to fix the Evo. Or I'd even trade the Subi straight up for a good short block I can slap my head on, drop it in the car, tune and drive. I don't care if its stock or not. At this point I just want to drive my car. i still wash the Evo every 2-3 days and wax her once every 2 weeks and detail the interior once a month. Hopefully soon I can get this Subaru sold so I can buy a short block. The Evo will be payed off next year so then Ill be able to afford to worry more about making her look better with a new paint job among other things. but for now I just want to get her running so I can drive and enjoy her. I don't know what else to say here and I think I have drug this introduction out long enough. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please feel free to leave them here. Thank you and yeah it's definitely going to be Buschur for sure. He's a 3 hour drive from me but he's the only shop I trust. I've been buying parts here and there when I have a little extra cash while shes broke down and once shes running again I'm shooting for 400whp. Don't want to shoot for real high hp right now since she will be my dd until shes payed off next year. After that I plan on doing a full build

yeah I'm working on getting on pics. I tried to put some on here from my phone yesterday but it wasn't working. Hopefully tonight or within the next couple of days I will be able to get on the computer and try it.

those are not long after i got it. it didnt have a wing when i bought it. i hate the wingless look. I got a good deal on a EB wing so it needs painted TB still and clear is peeling off the cf but i only payed $80 so im not complaining.

 

this is what she looks like currently. I gotta find some wheels before shes back on the road because i hate the stock 8 wheels. I no longer have the stock 8 front bumper. i now have a GG evo 9 front bumper for it which will get painted when i get the wing painted
