Need some car buying input, please!

so i live in a small mountain town in Humboldt county. I already own a evo 8 but i left it in socal 3 years ago when i moved here to be closer to my family. Its time to buy another car and i really want a evo x or an sti. I would prefer a newer stock one with low mileage that was babied. Im going to be towing my 8 up here from socal in the next few weeks but it needs some work and isnt really a good daily driver. i want something stock and quite so i can get to and from town safely without problems. Soooooo heres my questions idk where to start, Is there anything to worry about with the evo being discontinued or will that not be a problem? just looking for some insight and some possible leads on used evos or sti's. I lost my old account info but ive been on the forums for a long time just not in the last 3 years. thanks for reading and sorry about the speeling and grammar errors

EVO will be supported by Mitsubishi for something like 10 years past the last run by law I believe. The Subaru, while a nice car, will have the same issues that the 2.5 has had for years, even in the new platform. Perhaps looking at the WRX with the DI 2.0 might be a better option, but a 2016 might be a better choice to have so you're not getting first year.

Good luck with your choices

Though I haven't owned either I have test driven both extensively and I will give you the answer that will probably be supported by most. For stock, the STI, for mods, go Evo. For me, the STI didn't feel like anything special to be honest. The Evo felt fun out of the box and either way, both will be a pretty large upgrade in comfort. In regards to Mitsubishi support or whatever for the Evo, you'll most likely want to go to a specialty shop as I've found dealerships are generally not the best at taking care of their halo cars.
