Hello everyone! Glad to be a part of this awesome site. I'm currently in search of an Evo 8 or 9, having a little trouble coming up with one, but I'm determined to have one. I live in the middle of nowhere basically and there aren't really any around here from what I've been seeing. I'd prefer one with as few mods as possible, I'm a mechanic for a second job and want to do the fun stuff myself! So if you know of any for sale in the Nebraska area let me know. Thanks for reading!
Wow Im not sure I'm that patient... worst part is finding them in my area. My guess is I'll have to travel a good distance to find one. Hell I was in Denver last weekend and only saw 1, and it was overpriced and a little beat up body wise.
welcome! joining before you buy isn't such a bad idea. you can do research to be sure you know what you're getting into. some people do their best to be able to buy an Evo but don't make sure they can afford to own one.
you can also get an idea of what you need to do as preventive maintenance, what kinds of mods work and which are a waste of money, etc. LOL.
read all you can so you can hit the ground running.
don't be afraid to ask questions. most are willing to help, you will only find the occasional troll.

Welcome dude!
When I can trade my 9 straight out for an e92 m3 I'll be satisfied. Until then I hope the price keeps rising

Ya everyone here seems real helpful, it's nice not to have AS many trolls. I'm pretty well familiar with the engine in its NA form, I have rebuilt one before. Now it's time to expand my horizons into the world of boost and hopefully a little of my own tuning. (Nothing major) I mechanic as a second job so this will be my new play toy.
Most of the trolling I see here are knowledgeable people with a lack of patience for those that are just starting out and trying to learn. I guess they were never newbies LOL.
LOL Honda guys can be pretty bad sometimes. I have been in a few Hondas that were really modded right, and the RPM was amazing to me. (Previously a small block chevy guy 9k RPM was almost unheard of) I would LOVE to drive a nicely modded Evo I watch some of the videos around and there is some amazing power coming out of these cars.
