Noob question?

I asked this in the wrong side, a member was kind enough to point me in the right direction.

I am new to forums. I used to have an RSX. Put about 10k into the engine, Loved it. Took it to the track, before I even raced it a guy came up to me and offered 12,500 for it. So I sold it. I dont regret it. I pumped all the money into a jeep wrangler. Took it off roading broke a ton of stuff. I was riding on 33's by 12.5 dura's with a ton of other mods. It was fun, but I eventually got bored with that as well. I did over 1000 trails here in NH. So after fixing issues, I sold it. Then bought a truck, haven't done anything to it, I have been taking the time to see what peaks my interest this time around, and saving money.

Then I see an Evo, a dark blue one. I have no idea the year, but man that was the most beautiful car I have seen since the GTR.

My question is. What year is a good year? Are there any known quarks in certain years? How about reliability? I have read a ton of websites and done some research. I am looking for opinions and things only an evo owner would know. Please anything would help from year to color. Thanks for the info in advance. I will be getting one in the next month or two, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

What he said. Depends on what you want to do with it in the end. If you want a track star, go with an 8, want a comfortable badass street car go with a X. From what you have mentioned with your previous toys I would say that you would like an 8 over the others as they are cheaper to get into and somewhat cheaper to build. The darker blue only came on the X's.
