Is it possible to take the Brembos from Evo and mount them to OZ's...........If I remember the front suspension fits ok. what about brakes? is it worth to think about?

With the caliper extension and 320mm diameter rotors it would make finding wheels a nightmare. Prob wouldn't work.

Wilwood made one for Kontradictions. But it still needed modifications to fit. Last I heard he hasnt installed it. Not sure if their willing to make it for other Lancer owners though. I plan on getting the fronts within a month.

I got the E-Mail somewhere. saved it. Asked this company about the price maybe 2 months ago. They told me $550 for Wilwood Regular Big Brake Rotors and $650 for the Crossed Drilled ones.

Not to mention the different bolt patterns and different overall tire sizes. You can't fit a small rim over that disc.

but I'm not talking about the wheels...........I'm talking about the brakes! even with Willwood you need at least 16" rims so I guess with brembos you need same or even bigger. and I do not think that the 5 bolt pattern has anything to do with the fitment issue.

why would you bother trying to fit a evo8 brakes into an oz when there is a wilwood bigbrake kit available? IMO the wilwood looks a hella of alot better than the evo's.

because it's "brembo" and what if you can have 2 pairs for the price of 1. To me they look better.

I dont need luck........I'm just wondering.......and I dont need opinions if they look good or bad...........or that they wont fit because the stock 15" OZ's are too small.
I want to know what are the facts:
did anybody try to do it (looked into it or think about doing it),
what are the needed modifications, and everything else besides the looks, size, or bolt pattern.

Just think that converting 240sx's brakes to 300ZX's is not such a big problem...or the good old HONDAS. Is it wrong to look into it? to find out if brembos will fit our littl lancer?

5 bolt. Evo brake discs are 5-hole. You'd have to drill a 4-hole pattern. Lots of trouble every time you need to change rotors. Are you talking about CALIPERS only? Then you'd have to find rotors to fit that are the right size. So it'd be easier to use the stock evo8 rotors, but then you have that 5 bolt problem again.

Just get the wilwood and paint them red. Paint 'BREMBO' on them. Brembo is not the end-all be-all of brakes. A lot of privateers use AP for SSCA Pro rally. and slotted rotors. Those are nice brakes.
