Pretty upset! bought 09 Lancer GT 3 weeks ago. Last Friday after driving about 45 miles Slow down warning light along with a thermometer symbol lit up.. then happened again Sunday.. in both instances had to pull over, Friday took about an hour before car would run right, not going fast or driving hard. Sunday after driving 50 miles car did it again, pulled over and started to call tow truck... No problems labor day weekend trip of 450 miles... Can anyone help a single mom who bought this car for her daughter..

Might be something relatively minor, but best bet is to get the Lancer into a Mitsu garage / dealer ASAP & have them diagnose the condition
Transmission maybe going into "limp mode" due to high load
