Hi from a new guy, from Canada
Hi everyone,
I'm Frank, and I've just bought a regular Lancer 2 weeks ago for dirt cheap because of a few problems.
It's an '08 ES with a light 231 500 km on the clock! I had fun with my previous cars ('90 Nissan Pulsar GTI-R and '98 Subaru Forester WRX swapped) but now I needed something more on the fuel efficient side and not moddable to give my wallet a break!
The problems on the car were : exhaust leak at the back of the cat, whining clutch release bearing, broken tail light. I then discovered after owning the car for a day that the starter would not crank all the time, or not at all. The exhaust leak was half taken care of by some ugly welding, and the clutch bearing transformed into a gearbox job. Strange problem but I will post a thread about that for advice. The cranking issue was a loose nut on the starter's +12v.... easy fix but not so easy to access that damn nut!
I don't have any real project for this car (hurray!), it's more of a plain daily driver.
I hope I can find some useful info on this forum!
Here is the awesome plain car in all its greatness

And for the curious out there, here are my Forester and Pulsar
