Thinking of buying an Evo 8

My plans are to use it as 90% daily driver with no track day.
does cost a lot money to maintain ???

It's a 2.3L stroker built motor and bigger turbo... have you driven something like this before? It will cost money to maintain unless you drive it like a granny.

every time i see "engine just rebuilt" but now Im selling it after putting in all this money. I just see someone trying to unload their money pit and cut their losses.

Read about common problems. Broken Recaro seats, transfer case noise, that one WONT PASS EMISSIONS if you have them... There are ways around this but you need to read read read.

Evos are maintenance ****** with out being built. This one will cost much for than a stock or close to stock car. Good rule of thumb goes like this, you can only pick two. FAST, RELIABLE, CHEAP

Fast + Reliable= not cheap
Cheap + Fast = not reliable

Sounds like its your first evo. I don't think id jump in a 2.3 evo as a first.

And you should consider buying something more stock and do your own mods. So you feel the transition from stock to each mod.
