Thinking of buying an EVO. But where? (NE area).

Greetings, I'm fairly a nEWb here. I'm contemplating picking up an EVO. I currently drive a '93 RX7 and an '01 Mazda Tribute as a daily driver. (Have a '95 Talon TSi AWD which is currently busted too--heh heh). I'm no stranger to the 4g63 powerplant. Anyway, I'm thinking of selling the FD privately (I know the dealer won't give me what it's worth) and trading in the Tribute on an EVO (either a left over '04 or an '05). From reading this and other forums, and talking to others in other sections of the country, it seems that Mitsu is discounting EVO's quite a bit from the dealer. I've read about people picking up a new GSR's for $27-29K range on a fairly consistent basis. Anyway, I went out to look at some EVO's today and possibly test drive one (as I've never actually driven one), and was hard pressed to find a dealer here in the Philadelphia area with one on the lot. Could it be that they're just not selling well enough that they don't even keep one in stock? Or are they starting to sell better?

Anyone know of a dealer in fairly close driving distance from Philly that has a bunch of EVO's on the lot (MD, NJ, NY, DE, MD, N VA)?

Thanks for any help.

EDIT -- Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but you guys have so many sections here, I was getting a bit lost. heh heh. Feel free to move it if it needs to be moved.

York Mitsubishi in York PA was great to deal with. I do not know their current inventory but they are worth contacting for sure.

That's where I'm going to get my 05. I bought my old 99 gsx from there too. Good people.

Thanks for the tip. That's actually decently close to me (I'm willing to drive up to 4-5 hours for one). However, at this point, I'm just in the early researching phase, as I have to 1) Fix the transmission on my SUV so I can trade it in, and 2) sell my FD first. I'm going to be calling all the numbers I get from here over the next 2-3 weeks and talk to salespeople (taking time always is a good "buy tactic" anyway). I'll see what numbers they can come up with me. Thanks for all the replies.

Good to see you here too Ceasar.

Hey zmarko. I am in philly also, I went to every local dealer, including Cherry Hill Mitsu. They all sucked, made me "do the dance", I was about to give up on an Evo, and the last dealer I went to was Fred Beans in Doylestown. They were great , no BS, gave me a good trade on my Acura RSX, and a good price on my 03 Evo. I suggest you try them.
Good luck!

I paid $27,800 before tax, tags, etc. I believe that is slightly above invoice. Got the big wing and no roof.
