What is needed for a external waste gate ? Currently on stock turbo at the moment but for future references

A new turbo setup with external wastegate or buy a divided 02 housing with dump and you have the feeling / sound of a external wastegate

People often confuse an external wastegate with an external 02 dump.
If you plan to stay with a stock turbo and just want it loud AF when you hit full boost, just but a external/divided 02 housing. See 1:42 in the video if it doesn't automatically take you there.

 

External wastegate: need a new exhaust manifold with external wastegate flange

Open wastegate dump: just need a housing if staying stock turbo w/ internal wastegate

 

Yeah I do understand you, pretty much a screamer pipe. Was planning to run both on it again for the future build, was wondering if it was any point because I’m on stock turbo atm. If it was even worth the hassle, I’ve got a full invidia exhaust with a invidia 02 housing, can’t find any screamer that replaces that and fits the 3” piping also, but of a issue

 

You can run an external wastegate on a stock turbo and use a stock manifold. Just have to remove the factory wastegate and weld the flapper shut and the run something like this:

Personally though i'd just run an open o2 dump.
