Im officially back! I originally owned a blue 2011 X gsr a while back and sold it. Then i got into a GG 14 X gsr and loved it but sold it because of life changes and it just sitting in the garage. I always told myself i would own a IX as it has been my favorite platform. Well now i am in a great position to get one and picked up a clean GG IX se that will be shipped to me tomorrow. It will be my garage queen/weekend car. Im glad to be back and learn as much as i can about the CT9A platform. I have plans to eventually build it and get to around the 500-600 whp area.
jdm bumper, jdm headlights and taillights. Adavan RG2 wheels, Ohlins coils, Bolt ons with stock motor and turbo with injectors and fuel pump. tuned on 93 at 25psi
Wow. Very nice. Definitely an upgrade. The IX is shooting up in value and recognition and is on a fast track to becoming a classic. For those of us that knew, we always knew. Its just nice to see them finally starting to get the respect they deserved. The IX is truly something special in the import tuner world. You've got a beautiful example. Congratulations.
thank you sir. Ive always wanted a IX the most but ended up getting the X's in the past. Now I am in a place in life where I can comfortably afford one (paid off and title in hand). Took a while to find what I was looking for. It definitely will be cared for and is going to be the garage queen/weekend car. I have plans for it but nothing too crazy.
thanks. i loved my X and it was a smooth ride and had all the electronics and new stuff but the 9 feels more raw like a race car to me. Ive just always loved the CT9A platform so i had to get one lol
I have a 9 and love it. Having driven the X a few times, it is nice in it's own way. Since I do performance driving, I like that it has the AYC that the 8/9 were missing. Also, if I had kids, I would never feel safe putting them in the CT9A. That being said, for most people who only care about typical street driving and feel, yes the 8/9 feels a lot more nimbler and raw. I love it.
