Hello there, new member here! I have a BMW E36 M3 that I have driven daily for years, and it has slowly transformed into my autox and hpde car.
I am looking into getting an evo 9/10 in the next year or two for daily duties and wanted to start doing some research. Thanks!

If you are serious when you say daily driver duties, then I vote for the Evo X. It actually has a respectable crash rating (if you have kids, family, this kind of stuff matters for some people). From what I have seen, it is somewhat easier to find a X that hasn't been completely ragged out and beaten to death. Even then, any Evo as a daily driver will have the same challenge of a boring interior, that is severely outdated even compared to economy cars today. But if you are set on an Evo, I would also consider the automatic X MR. I have an Evo 9 and due to its quirks and modifications would never consider daily driving it. Most 8/9s you encounter will probably be similar. For me, the Evo is the autox car.
