Got One

I got my evo last month and I been checking out your forums here. Lots of good info. Just wanted to say what's up to everyone!

I saw one in a parking lot on a Thursday and had mine by Sunday. Love the car. No mods yet but racked up 3000 miles in a month. Defintely feels different than the Saturn I traded in. Friction mount GPS won't stay on the dash anymore

Thanks for the site. Keep up the good work.

Agreed. Open roads are the way to go. And tinted windows are a must in the desert. Almost as important as A/C.

Now if only I could keep those little tiny rocks from getting lodged in the intercooler...

Congrats man, looks pretty sweet! I'm going to be picking up one myself this summer, I'm hoping that the price of the regular Evo goes down once the MRs and RSs make it over here

Was going to ask the same exact question? Is the small wing an option?

I think the low wing is WAY better looking. I've got Tarmac Black with the short wing and love it! Have a look..

Is the USDM Evo VIII CF wing even adjustable, like the VII wing was? If not, it's just show (and a little ricey IMO). ;-)

Don't flame me though, it's just a personal opinion. Welcome to the site accessdenied!! Your car looks great!

Thanks, jab. Never saw black with the low wing. Looks kick ***!

I chose the low wing on purpose. Just liked it better. Besides, peripheral vision driving in a car with the cf wing makes me think someone's following me.

I did see something in the owner's manual about adjusting the cf wing...

you got to do something about that lancer wing. the high wing is a trademark of all evos. even wingless looks alot better than that tiny shi*ty wing.

Nice Evo. Welcome!

Low vs. high is a matter of opinion. I went with high, even though I didn't think it looked great when I bought the car. Now I can't imagine not having it there! To each his own...

Try living in S E Florida, I pull about 10 pounds of dragonfly guts and wings out of my intercooler every other day

Thanks for the views and comments.

cotmfk -- I guess high wings make better icicles!

mpzo6 -- not too many bugs here; I can almost dodge them

and now a few more pictures if I may.
