First of all, what's up!

The Evolution VIII is said to it the US around January 2003. Either late january, or early February.

Yes, there are many mods you can do to a US Lancer, but if you can wait for the Evolution VIII then no matter what, do just that! You will not be dissapointed. If you can't spend as much as around $30k then go for the US Lancer ES/OZ. But, waiting for the Evolution VIII is the wiser choice.

The latest info/rumors on the Evo VIII is that it will be in dealerships by the end of January or early February next year. Keep in mind that the majority (if not all) of the cars arriving in first couple shipments will either be sold at a steep premium or to people on a waiting list.

As for the regular Lancer, there are a decent amount of mods for it right now with more to come in the near future!

And please whatever you do, don't buy one of those big gas hogs!

She can only spend 25k, so... I think she should get an old sports coupe, like a Supra, or ZX, etc.

That way she won't have to worry about adding too many mods to make her car faster.

I just saw so many low milage M3's all 1997-1999, and manual transmission as well as automatic on E-Bay. Most have a buy it now price exactly 25k or under. So, what are you waiting for? If you have 25k to spend, GO FOR IT!

M3's have an amazing pickup and they do 60 in less than 5! If I had 25k to spend, nothing would stop me from getting an M3. You should consider it too.

WRX... That's a great idea. It's a fast paced car, and is definately worth the money.
