Question Help a gurl out!

I have recently aquired an '02 Lancer with a little over 40k on the odometer. Its an automatic because i drive a stick like total ****. Its a really nice car but its completely stock and is extremely slow. Well maybe not extremely but compared to the camaro I used to drive its a turtle in a rabbit race. Since I wraped my rabbit around a tree im stuck with just good handling. well great handling compared to my old car. Anyways I was wondering if anyone could help me up the horsepower in my car with ease because im no mechanic. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanx!

yeah your best bet, if you have the money, is going to www.roadracemotorsports.com and check out what they have for the lancer... if you are strapped for cash.. goto ebay and look for a lancer intake adapter plate.. and get a k&n cone filter and use that for an intake for now.. then you could probably get a exhaust shop to put on an axleback w/muffler for around 200 if not less..

if you have about 450 you could get the RRM ECU... basic wiring splicing and such to get it to work.. then run premium gas and you have some of the best bang for your buck...

Installing an intake is a do yourself deal.....the only problem is that the bolts that hold the factory cold air box together are tough to loosen... as for the exhaust, best to get that done by someone, unless your a welder...which would be cool!!!

go to www.roadracemotorsports.com (RRM)
they have a computer piggyback that you can splice into your existing computer and you will get roughly 10-15% increase in power... which you would definetly feel!

pretty much... it doesnt just plug in.. you would have to splice into a few wires... but it shouldn't be too difficult to do... they give you instructions on where to find the wires and such as well... and yes, you would have to run premium high octane gas after intsalling it.

If you don't want to run that type of gas you could always buy the basic bolt-ons like intake, exhaust, throttle body, intake manifold, exhaust header... things like that... except those things can get somewhat pricey when you add them all up
