2004 EVO or 2005 EVO?
I doubt Mitsu would be going under. I'm sure some other company's gonna buy them out and do some major construction. It'd be pretty sweet for us current EVO owners if they stopped making the EVO though. Our cars would be nice and rare and our resale values will stay pretty high.
To you guys who want the front LSD and no ACD - That's impossible, a TRUE front LSD would require an Active Center Differential because of our car's (2003 GSR) ABS. Thats why the RS has a front differential and no ABS.

mitsu is not going under, they got funded 1.4 billion
anyways this is so funny...if someone wanted to buy an 03 from me BRAND new for 24.8 i would throw them out so fast, no offense but come on 5200 under msrp??? thats like 3000 under invoice on a brand new car...152 miles isnt horrible
good thing we sold out on our 03's very quickly, and we dont allow test drives till price is agreed and credit is run, 4 miles on all our evo's

Thanks for your opinions.

With the current warranty claims situation I would want to hear, from the service manager, an acknowlegement that sitting around almost 2 years is not a good thing for a brand new high performance motor. And because you are such a great guy that the dealership will go to bat for you with Mitsubishi if major warranty claims should arise.
well, I just got my evo about 5 days ago, it was 03 model had around 900 miles on it, there was no previous owner, I asked how come it had so many miles on it, they said one of their engineer test drove it for promotion, well anyway, I testdrove the car, felt great, they were asking for $29950.00 I told them $27500 drive out, 2 weeks later, they didn't sell the car, still in the lot, they called me ask me to go pick up the car and they will give me the price, I said that's okay, I don't want it anymore, then another week went by, they ask me to go there, ask me to throw an offer, I said $26000 drive out I'll take it. So we closed it. Basically 900 miles, no previous owner, 3 yrs warranties, do yall think it's a good deal? You don't have to make me feel better, I need some honest opnions. Thanks
26k w/900 miles. u cudda gotten it somewhat cheaper or u cud have gotten a 04 for about 29 out the door. i dunno tho. i want an evo bad but i'm waiting till the MR and 05's come out so i can get an awesome deal for an 04. they're giving me a price of $28997 for a 04 without the leather and roof and an extra grand would add a sunroof (installed by dealer). if i wait i could that that for 26-27 in 2 months. u guys agree?
Im not sure if it will drop that much in two months but they will be more motivated to sell them once the MR's come out.
As for the original post its really just about how much you want to spend if money isn't a big deal then by all means get the 05 MR its the quickest best evo YTD. But if money is a major concern I would go with the 03 because they will give you a significant price break and its a tested car that you know will run good and you know performs well for normal people as well as racers.
