RS isn't really practical, I faced the same choice and i just bought a Evo that had like 3000 miles on it for 25 K. Why do that to yourself with the hassle of door motors and that nonsense. ....can't understand it.

rather have new

I rather have a new car than used i can live without door locks, what has america come to were becoming lazy and fat lets do things manually ITS a sports car who cares eveyrthing in the world is becoming automatic. Finding a perfect broken in motor on an evo is hard so im doing it myself with a new car

Lovin it

I also just bought and RS WW. It is awesome and I also bought it bacause it was probably 10 grand cheaper and I still got almost everything performance-wise that and MR has. Ii is incredible. I paid 25,998 for it. Great deal. Love not having the wing too. Stealthy. No attention. Know what I mean. NO car even compares for the money. And the front helical is amazing. I am still getting use to how to pick the right line around the corners. The tires squeal a little too much for my taste. But that will change once I put RA1's on it .

Go RS

If you want practicality, buy a Camry.

End of discussion.

If you get the car used then it has warranty issues. Some warranty is void so watch out. You never save money buying used when the car has outstanding warranty that is for the original buyer. I do agree that the choice between the Evo and Evo RS is made by the type of driver you are * do you like the convenience of assisted windows and doors? Or can you do just fine with doors and windows you remember as a kid? In all the RS will only give you about a tenth of a second advantage. Hey for some the cost or the performance of 1/10th is worth discomforts. For others is is not a value or is a headache.

I just ordered myself door lock actuators for $29 for all corners! And $20 for trunk power lock and $30 for remote. Hope to install them this weekend.

Power lock is the only thing that I miss from my RS!

Someone said that the RS has all the same performance options as the MR (basically) but I thought the MR had an active center diff and active yaw controll.
