Hey fellas i just got an evo rs and my dealer said that if i were to buy the alarm they had installed, my drivers door would be automatic but rest would remain manual, just they never got my drivers door to work, i was wondering if anyone does have their door automatic on the drivers side or is that not possible at all

Thumbs up

RS is available now. It is the first EVO with the front helical differential. MSRP is at least $6,000 less than MR, which will have big dealer mark-ups when it comes out in the fall. Plus, I like the no-wing stealth look of the RS. It doesn't draw any attention from the coppers. Good choice, dude. Why do you care about an automatic door lock?

Yeah, you'll need to get a door lock motor for each door, and they can all be hooked up to the same remote. Expect to pay about $75 for each motor.

if you have that in writing, make them buy a door lock motor and install it at no additional charge. Dr. FOB is exactly right, and any decent car audio/security shop will have the parts. Most dealerships have working relationships with a local shop.

It depends on whether you want luxury or performance. The WRX will have to be modded up to about stage 3 to keep up with your RS. But then, you're sacrificing cruise control, CD changer, heated seats, and others. Does the RS come with A/C?

I'd pick the RS. The WRX just feels slow.
