I need brakes!!
It's time tor replace the brake pads on my EVO VIII.. I was wondering what was the best price on OEM brembo pads and where people are getting them... Also what other people are using. (Not a race car not a autocross car just a daily driver.)
Vivid is having a sweet deal on brake packages I think around 300 for ferodo 2500's and steel brake lines. Thats what I plan to do. Sorry, I dont have prices for the OEM stuff, its too rich for my blood anyways.
I'm on my second set of rotors and they are shaking again already. I don't get it. This is beginning to tick me off. Mitsu is not being cooperative as usual. I don't road race, but I drag off and on. If anyone knows the fix let me know. If I have to buy new everything then I will. If it's just the pads then great. So if you've been there done that let me know the deal. Thanks.

I have a hot woman and plenty of beer.
Really though, you should consider upgrading to a better pad. The stock ones have heat trasfer problems that have been discussed here over and over again. This is why the rotors warp. The aftermarket on pads is pretty sweet

My guess is www.mitsubishiparts.net but I might suggest ordering aftermarket brakes and rotors as they will last longer stop better and brake cleaner (less dust) for about the same price... Tirerack has real Brembo slotted rotors for around 330 a set front or back... I'm looking to do my brakes soon as well but i'm running endless pads with brembo blanks or baer blanks..

Right now I have Rotora vented replacement rotors paired with Ferodo DS3000 track pads in preparation for Watkins Glen tomorrow through Friday.
Was on the original rotors up until then with no warping problems, just replaced them so I wouldn't crack them at this upcoming track event. You have to warm up your brakes like you warm up your car. Don't just accelerate up to triple digit speeds and slam on them. They will warp.
I've run the Ferodo 2500's and they're a good street pad and okay track pad. The 3000's offer a little more bite, but chew up your rotors faster and don't bite as well cold as the 2500's or stock Brembo.
You used to be able to get replacement pads for 65 bucks for the fronts from the dealer, but their pricing's gone up since last year, so the 2500's are a good option with a little more bite than stock.
